My 92 years old Mother was transferred to Lings Bar Hospital from the QMC on 2 September 2016. Having read some of the online reviews before my Mother was transferred I was a little concerned about where she was going but from her arrival the staff were nothing short of excellent - informing and involving us in all decisions and going above and beyond the acceptable standard of care I was expecting her to receive. The kindness and concern shown by all the members of staff we came into contact with was outstanding - even the tea/orderly was compassionate and knew just how to make my Mother as comfortable as possible and constantly encouraged her to ensure she was eating and drinking.
My Mother was treated with dignity and respect by all who came into contact with her and ourselves.
Unfortunately my Mother passed away just 24 hours after arriving at Lings Bar and my only regret is that she was not transferred earlier. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincerest thanks and gratitude to all members of staff on the John Proctor Ward for their outstanding care and compassion.
"Would not hesitate to recommend Lings Bar Hospital"
