"Every one of them were polite, friendly and respectful"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was in hospital for a bladder tumor resection. I was in Tandridge Ward for 3 days following the procedure.

The nursing staff in the theatre and recovery room were extremely friendly, polite and respectful. Also the nursing staff on the ward were absolutely brilliant. Although the first night I had to keep ringing the bell when the fluids kept running out/or filling up, when the nurses arrived they always got on with the job with a smile.

They never once made me feel I was being a nuisance for ringing the bell and after the first night, they were attentive continuously throughout my stay. Every one of them were polite, friendly and respectful during every part of their shift even if they had worked 12 hours and were tired. A very big thank you to all of them.

Dear Leoni, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback relating to your recent surgery at East Surrey Hospital.

I will ensure that it is shared with the teams involved in your care.

I know they will be pleased to hear that what is often a worrying time for patients was as positive as possible.

I hope you continue to recover well

Kind regards

Jamie Moore
