(as the patient),

I am taking this opportunity to thank the Doctors, nursing staff, catering staff and the friends I made while under investigation at the Royal Cornhill Hospital male Skene ward.

The friendliness of all these people made my all too brief stay something not to be missed and definitely not to be approached with trepidation by anyone. The food was absolutely five star and could not be faulted.

I would particularly like to thank the mischievous person who I shared the ward with and whom I would like to call a lifelong friend and hope will stay in contact with me when he gets home.

I would firstly like to apologise for the time it has taken to respond to your post. The delay is as a result of changes to the way in which we manage Patient Opinion in NHS Grampian.

We are extremely grateful to you for taking the time to post your feedback on Patient Opinion. I am certain anyone reading this who might harbour fears about help and support for patients with mental wellbeing needs will be hugely reassured by your experience. It is lovely for all the staff groups to be mentioned in this way. What you describe sounds like excellent team work and a first class service. The staff will be delighted to know that they are doing such a great job. I will make sure that your comments are passed on to them.

I hope you continue to feel well and thank you again for sharing your story.
