"i disliked the way me and my partner ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as the patient),

What I liked

i disliked the way me and my partner was treated on the maternity unit staff were rude and extremly incompitant and due to this i had to go through another c-section which i did not want but staff messed me and my partner about for 4 days leaving me for hours not monitoring me or my unborn baby i dont recommend anyone having a baby at this hospital ive had both my children at qe2 and both times have left me with very bad memorys

What could be improved

more staff on hand, staff that know what they are doing and dont disrespect patients

We are very sorry to hear that your experience on our maternity ward at the QEII was an unhappy one.

Generally the feedback we receive from mothers and families who have used the unit is overwhelmingly positive so it is concerning when we hear of cases such as yours.

Whenever we do receive formal complaints we always investigate immediately and share the findings with the complainant as soon as we can.

We would be happy to arrange for you to meet with your consultant and the head of midwifery so you can talk them through your experience and help us to make our service better.

If this is something you would like to do then please contact the public affairs team on 01438 781522 or 781736.
