I had fallen from the top of my loft ladder and the ladder broke away from its fittings and fell on top of me leaving me with a broken bone in my left arm and really nasty bruises and cuts on my legs and torso.
This was 8 days before I was due to leave my home in Norfolk and holiday in the Peak District. I had my arm set in Norfolk and despite feeling thatI would rather stay at home, my friend and cousin and I set off.
With her help all went reasonably well but halfway through our week Ibecame very concerned as the bruises were painful and looked quite angry in places.
My friend drove me to the Whitworth minor injuries dept and I was seen almost immediately. The department looked clean and bright. The receptionist was pleasant and the two nurses could not have been more attentive and reassuring.
Thank you so much from an eighty-two year old who will never, ever climb aloft ladder again. Jeanne from Norfolk
