"Opening hours"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

I arrived at 2.30 this afternoon to see a notice saying that the unit had closed as it had seen a high volume of patients.

So why does it give its opening hours as lasting until 4pm?. This seems a very disappointing aspect of a service I have always found useful and efficient.

Perhaps the hospital should publicise this arrangement on its website.

We are very sorry that the Minor Injuries Unit was closed when you came to visit. We apologise for any inconvenience this caused you.

Unfortunately, sometimes it may be necessary to close the unit earlier if the department is very busy to allow the unit to close at 4pm. This is at the discretion of the emergency nurse practitioner at that time.

We have passed your feedback over to the team so that they can address this should it happen in future.

Kind regards,

Barts Health NHS Trust
