"Unexplained injuries"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Gynaecology

I arrived at the ward for an abdominal hysterectomy

I was taken to theatre I felt the anesthetist was trying to pressure me in to having a spinal epidural I advised that I didn't want this to done as I have a spinal injury

I went to theatre

I was returned to the ward I was teathered to the bed with pressure boots

I was left with no access to the nurse call button

I was also left in soiled wet gown over night with no pressure care as a result I have pressure sores and infection

I also obtained a head injury to the right side side of my head which I have no idea as to how that happened or what has happened to me

My back problem has been made severely worse

I also have puncture marks on my back

I do want to know how I came by my injuries

The nurse in charge of me on 16/09

Was rude and abusive

I asked for help to change into clean clothes and their response was I have more than you to see to and refused to help me leaving me attached to the bed

Drip on one side drains / catheter on the other

And still in soiled clothing

I find this standard of nursing and care to be woefully lacking
