Having suffered back and leg pains resulting in restricted mobility for over twelve weeks I was very pleased with the very short time it took from referral to my appointment. I received my referral instructions within a few days of my visit to the doctor.

When I submitted my choice of clinic to attend I was given an appointment a week or so ahead - very quick.

Within an hour of this confirmation I received a phone call from the administration and bookings staff to ask if I was available to attend a week earlier! Excellent service and much appreciated. I was made to feel welcome and reassured by the friendly staff and again more than surprised to be taken in early for my appointment - a vast difference from visits to other clinics in other hospitals. My condition was explained in detail and my choices of treatment clearly and succinctly put to me. I was listened to carefully, my choice respected, and further reassured that should the condition not improve or I felt I needed to move to the next level in the treatment plan I could contact the clinic direct.

Thank you very much for taking the time to pass on your feedback via NHS Choices. We do provide ourselves in minimising the time patients need to wait to be seen by a Consultant or indeed receive the treatment and care they need.

I see that you visited the Woodthorpe Outpatient Clinic at Grantham, our Consultants really enjoy coming out to meet patients closer to their home rather the patient having to travel all the way to the hospital when often that isn’t needed, certainly in the early stages of managing your condition.

I’m pleased you now feel fully informed about your treatment plan and options.
