We have this pm, lost a very special member of our Family, Betty Chambers who was transferred from Exeter to Plymouth ICU on Thursday evening.
My mum and myself travelled down from Bristol with my daughter today and were made to feel very welcomed in such a busy area of the hospital, nothing was too much trouble for the nurse who went above and beyond to ensure that they not only looked after Betty but all of us that were present in the room, and there were a lot of us, we as a extended family not only had to deal with the shock of such a freak accident but the reality that she was not going to pull through. The nurse prepared us all for when the life support was going to be switched off and arranged for the vicar to spend time with us and most important Betty.
The nurse's priority was Betty ensuring they meet and exceeded her needs during this period but the nurse still went above and beyond making sure all relatives needs emotionaly were also dealt with in such difficult circumstances.
Particularly attention was paid to Betty's family who were finding it very difficult to come to terms with losing their Mum.
I Lydia Bowden cannot thank the nurse enough for the Care and support that they gave to us all.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you, you are a angel, people like you are rare, you are amazing xx. please ensure that this feedback is given to this nurse. Thank you
