About: Capio Nightingale Hospital - Lisson Grove

I was an inpatient at the Nightingale during the autumn of 2014 and was very pleased with the standard of care I received during my stay.

I was suffering the worst mental health crisis of my life and I was so relieved to be in the care of professional staff who really cared for my safety and wellbeing. I really do not know what I would have done without the care I received there.

The psychiatric nurses were all amiable and attentive in my experience, some especially so.

I considered these nurses my friends during my stay and they invariably had time for me. I found the food perfectly acceptable and there were adequate choices for each mealtime.

The selection of food options available were plentiful, nutritious and flavoursome.

I felt very comfortable and safe in my room and reassured in the knowledge that the nurse station was closeby.

The daily therapies were so helpful to me and were a great opportunity to get to know other patients, which I looked forward to each day.

I found the group therapies and CBT the most useful.

Everyone on the staff at the Nightingale, including the restaurant staff, were upbeat and offered a smile to me every day, which I very much appreciated.

I especially liked mealtimes with the other patients staying at the Nightingale since it was helpful to me to be able to be social and listen to the experiences of others while sharing my own.

I would, without hesitation, choose the Nightingale again should I find myself needing inpatient care for my mental disorder.

I am deeply grateful to all the staff there for helping me on my long journey towards recovery.
