"Care at the Stroke Unit"

I cannot thank the staff at East Dean and Sovereign Stroke Units enough for the excellent care of my mum, Betty Sheehan, who sadly passed away on 08/09/16.

All the staff were helpful, friendly, kind and caring, and treated both my mum and myself, my sister and my father with the utmost respect and understanding.

Thank you to the consultants, doctors and a special thank you to all the nursing staff; thank you especially to one nurse, for their kind but no-nonsense approach with my father; to other members of staff for arranging accommodation for my father; the car park permit and arranging for me to stay in the accommodation too, which was enormously helpful as we don't live locally; for the support at the end, particularly one person's care in seeking out my father to give their personal condolences; and to the Healthcare Assistant who was with my father and me when mum passed away, whose gentle and kind manner, and sharing of their own loss, gave me some comfort at a very difficult time. You are all amazing people, and the hospital is very lucky to have such a great team.
