I visited the Early Pregnancy Unit in the Lower Ground of the EGA wing early September 2016 after I started bleeding in my 7th week of my first pregnancy. I was seen by a doctor, who had to break the bad news to me that I was having a miscarriage, and who ordered another scan in a week. My second scan revealed that although I had miscarried,
I still had pregnancy tissue left behind. My choices were to continue bleeding until my body hopefully rejects this tissue or to have it surgically removed.
I was thoroughly explained of the risks & benefits and I decided to go ahead with the surgical treatment. The procedure just happened to be with the same doctor again.
I was scared and super worried but everybody was very compassionate and understanding and calming in a very professional way;also very knowledgable and thorough in their explanations. I cannot speak highly enough of the level of service I received. Last but certainly not least the facilities were spotless and seemed to be very well equipped . I felt at ease and very safe throughout my whole experience. Thank you all very much.
"Excellent Experience @ the Early Pregnancy Unit..."
