On 23 July at around 3am I was taken to A&E by two very efficient paramedics and was diagnosed with shingles. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all staff who looked after and a very special thank you to the ST3 doctor who looked after me for his phenomenal patient care. As I had no skin rush or blisters, it wasn't that straight forward to diagnose but he conducted a very thorough examination, I had lots of tests done to exclude anything else as I also have an autoimmune condition he knew much about, and he got it just right. They were very knowledgable, extremely attentive and informative, he took the time to explain the symptoms, the diagnose and the aftercare, kept me informed all the way through, they were patient and approachable, and I am very thankful as because of their care we were able to catch it on time so it didn't develop further. I have used A&E at St Thomas's Hospital before and I have been assisted to high standards - a big thumb up for everyone in A&E, you all do a great job.
