"waiting at appointments"

About: Salford Royal

Appointment times at the maturnity unit is getting worse. Booked appointments are constantly being stretched. Pregnant ladies and partners shouldnt have to wait hours for booked appointments.the waiting times have not improved. The staff are lovely and friendly but waiting times are hard espically for expecting mothers. You can feel dizzy from not eating as you dont expect the waiting times. The waiting room is hot and the garden door isnt always open. Its unfair on parents with multiable children as they get upset waiting an hour or 2 is a long time for a child. Id advise a scheme to reduce waiting times. Or hire an extra staff member if its the number of staff affecting it.its a shame because the staff are friendly and work hard but waiting times are not acceptable.

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your experience in our unit. I can only imagine how frustrating and difficult this must have been for you, please accept our apologies.

Please can I encourage you to contact our PALS service on 0161 206 2003 or email them directly on pals@srft.nhs.uk - they will be able to explain how we can best investigate the issues you have raised and to give you some answers.
