"Treated Differently"

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your posting. I am sorry to hear that you feel that male Personality Disorder patients at Arnold Lodge are being treatly differently to women patients. We try to ensure that we provide an equitable service to all patients across the unit and consider the diversity and individual needs of our patients, including yourself. As a result of this, patients may receive different services according to their assessed clinical needs.

You have not mentioned anything specifically in your comment regarding examples of being treated differently, or ways in which you feel discriminated against. Having spoken to the Clinical Team for the Personality Disorder carestream, they are very keen to work with you individually to address your concerns. Alternatively, please liaise with the Independent Advocacy Service to raise your concerns on your behalf.

Hopefully you are also aware of the other mechanisms that you can use to address your concerns. These are the ward community meetings, the Patients' Forum and the complaints system, both informally and formally, although our preference is always to resolve issues locally whenever possible.
