cont ....I left A&E in a worse state than I arrived. It was a nightmare- being questioned as to my credentials, being left to wait for so long, being ignored even though staff had been asked to attend me. One of the most appalling experiences of my life. Why didn't I get pain relief during my stay despite being in obvious pain? Why were some staff apparently content to just 'leave me to get on with it'.Somebody suggested I was lucky as the true waiting time was 15 hours. This place was chaotic, poorly managed and it was a disgrace.

Oppressive – discriminatory - insensitive

My GP expressed horror at my experience. He said even he would be extremely put out by comments made regarding not being appropriate for A&E.
