I attended my regular Endoscopy yesterday after suffering an increase in discomfort over a number of months, it's always a bit worrying anyway due to my condition but the thought of going through the procedure doesn't generally make for a good nights sleep prior to the event. I reported to the front desk at 3pm prompt and was immediately put at ease by the friendly staff at reception and within a few short minutes was met by my Endoscopist for the procedure, who went through the paperwork in a professional but warm manner which again put me at ease. After a short return to the waiting room I was called into the Endoscopy unit where I met the staff who prepared me for the Endoscopy. It's quite possibly the most un-natural feeling I can imagine but the team helped me through, giving me support and encouragement until the samples were taken and my throat cleared of obstruction once more. I'd like to officially thank the team for their hard work and support yesterday as I feel it's absolutely vital that people who clearly enjoy their jobs albeit carrying out a very uncomfortable procedure should be thanked and supported. Great job team, thank you very much. John Moran
