"Parking at King George Hospital Redbridge"

The hospital has recently introduced a "pay on exit" car park This would have been an opportunity for them to look at parking charges as recently I had to drop off a sample at the pathology lab and despite only spending 10 minutes from getting my ticket to paying on exit, it still cost me £2, the same as if I had spent 3 hours there. They could have made a short stay charge maybe up to 30 minutes long at a cost 50p or a £1. Alot of people only need a very short time in the hospital and I feel these costs are outrageous. I realise there is a no charge for just a drop off or pick up but delivering samples/letters/making appointments does not come into this category and I would not like to risk getting clamped!
