"Knife wound to left palm."

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Managed to slice open my left palm with a Stanley Knife whilst doing some diy. Could not stop it bleeding so was taken to Blackpool urgent care centre by my neighbour at around 12pm. On arrival I was immediately taken to be assessed before the receptionist had completed my registration where the wound was given an initial dressing to stem the blood flow. Around twenty minutes later I was called back through the injury assessed again and the necessary stiches and dressings were applied. I am sure that when genuine cases such as this are dealt with they would all be expedited in the same manner. I have nothing but praise for the way I was treated on what appeared to be a busy Friday. Dear Eddie

Thank you for sharing your experience from your recent visit to Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate mishap whilst doing some DIY. I hope that the task is now completed.

It is really good to read how positive your experience was and how you were assessed and treated efficiently and effectively.

Thank you once more for taking the time to comment on your experience and I hope that you have continued to recover.

Kind Regards

Andrew
