"Lack of response from messages left"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital / Ophthalmology

I have had three appointments the first one being on 25 April 2016 regarding cataract surgery. Everyone I saw was very pleasant but I have had some contradictory information at varying appointments. I had a pre-admission appointment on 8 August and have heard nothing since. I rang to speak to the consultant's secretary on 30August and could not speak to them, but was assured I would be called back. I left a further message on 5 Sept and again was assured of a return call. Again I have not heard anything. I shall ring again on 12 Sept. I understand that hospitals are busy but as I have now been waiting over 4 months since my first visit I just want assurance that I am still on the waiting list and have not been forgotten.
