I was looked after during the pregnancy and birth of my fourth baby by an excellent midwifery team, I chose to have a home birth and I was not disappointed in the care I received from all the staff. I was mainly cared for by one midwife who looked after me like I was family, I felt vert special indeed. I felt listened to and respected, my concerns were dealt with in a professional and friendly manner, this midwife sought opinion of colleagues when I was struggling with extreme tiredness and Following a blood test, my vitamin D was very low, which I was able to rectify within a few weeks. I was able to voice all my worries even the ones I knew were normal for pregnancy without feeling silly. my lovely midwife reassured me through out the pregnancy and during the birth of my son, which went smoothly and as according to plan as giving birth can be. I was also very pleased and amazed at how effortless the care I received after the birth of my baby was from the same midwife. Additionally I needed the help of the breastfeeding specialist midwife who gave me swift appointments and expert care in dealing with feeding concerns. I can honestly say that this has been the best birth experience we could have hoped for, and I want to thank all the midwives who looked after me and my family and made us feel so special.
