"Basildon Day Unit"

I would like to thank you for the fantastic care I received in BDU on 6 September. I arrived in reception and they succeeded in sorting out an initial problem. I was greeted by a friendly nurse and waited in an area for my operation on my knee. I was seen by a lovely anaesthetist who put me at ease.

The surgeon was kind, informative and treated me with respect and dignity. They gave me time and answered all my questions. The theatre staff were very kind, friendly and again informative. They explained everything they were about to do and the consultant anaesthetist was a gem. I felt so confident in the staff that my fear disappeared. Theatre recovery was brilliant. The nurse who looked after me was very efficient and gave me pain relief immediately. They were wonderful. When I returned to the unit I was greeted with a smile and offered two cups of tea and biscuits. I could not have had a better experience. BDU has a warm atmosphere with cheerful staff who all seem to get along well. Thank you all so much. You all deserve more praise.
