"Brilliant birth experience"

I gave birth in April. I had been hoping for a homebirth for my 2nd child but he overstayed his welcome so I was booked in to be induced at the L&D. I cannot fault a thing from my experience there. They involved me in every decision, explained the whole process and basically managed to give me the most stressfree, wonderful birth. (my first, at a different hospital was a bit grim!). Every single member of staff went above and beyond. They weren't just polite and professional, they were caring, compassionate and made the whole experience fun (ok it hurt a bit at the end!). The midwifes delivering my baby helped me all the way and made sure my husband was really involved too. One even stayed with us for an hour after her shift had ended. They were lovely. We were given all the time we needed to rest afterwards, got cleaned up and they brought me breakfast. I left later that morning feeling on top of the world - definitely wasn't expecting to feel that great. I will forever be in your debt L&D maternity team. You were phenomenal.
