"a very big thankyou to all staff concerned"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as a relative),

My Wife went into labour 5 weeks early. When we arrived at the hospital, I found a car parking space in main car park as we were walking to the maternity unit my wife's pain became too much, I shouted to two members of hospital staff walking across the hospital grounds and when ran to get a wheelchair and they took us straight to the triage dept of the Mat unit we did not get there names but are grateful for their help, were we were greeted my staff who were very helpful A midwife came in to see my wife as soon a she came into the unit (Dr Donnelly) who advised my wife was in the final stage of Labour and requested a delivery pack and transfer to ward 7, on arrival at ward 7 we went into room 3 were my wife labour progressed and the baby was born Dr Donnelly and an other midwife from triage delivered our son, we are very grateful for the quick response and actions of all staff concerned with the birth of our son. reassurance was given to myself and well as my wife as things were happening very quickly but staff remained calm which gave us reassurance that everything was OK with the birth of our son. we would like to give a very big thank you to all staff concerned.

Dear bc123

Many congratulations on the birth of your son. I hope you are all well and that the pace of things has settled after your wee boy made his speedy entry in to the world!

Thank you so much for your positive feedback about all the staff who helped on the day. Your son being born early, as well as quickly, must have been a bit overwhelming so it is great to hear that the staff helped make it all a bit calmer. It is always good to know that our staff are giving good care to our mothers and babies (and Dads!).

I have shared your posting with Sr Donnelly who is over the moon and sends you all her best wishes and promises to share the lovely comments with everyone involved.

With best wishes to you and your wife for all the joyful and fun times that lie ahead with your wee boy.

Gail
