"Out of Hours GP Appts"

I tried to get an appointment for my 2 yr old son who was presenting with cheery cough/lethargic/high temp and fever. I was told by the triage nurse that there were no red flags to warrant an appointment for him. I was offered an appt by the fix I insisted I spoke to, but as they were busy he could only offer an appt later at night.

Needless to say we had to attend this appointment and have been prescribed antibiotics for a bad chest infection, something I have been trying to do all along.

I believe mums know their kids the best and contrary to what I think is popular belief, I don't rush my kids to the GP with the slightest sniffle.
