On admission I was feeling very vulnerable, shocked and frightened, this only increased whilst in the acute assessment centre, however, on being admitted to the cardiology unit it was like someone activated a switch and the " machine" began to turn. I have nothing but praise for the whole team, who presented as being experienced, professional and in control of whatever was thrown at them, they were also very caring, they made time to sit with us talk and explain any concerns we had and best of all had a great sense of humour. The surgery itself although serious was pain free and again fully explained throughout, the rehabilitation presentation was first class and although now at home I do not feel abandoned. If you are admitted to this cardiology unit do not be afraid as you really are in the best place. Many many thanks
