Early on Saturday morning my 30 year old son woke with a badly racing heart.
After calling 111 as our local GP practice does not see people as new bookings on the weekend we were recommended to go to an A&E department. We arrived at the Royal Berks at 8.50 and by 9.00 my son had been assessed and taken through for monitoring and treatment. The staff, both nurses and doctors were just wonderful and after administering a particular drug the heart returned to a very normal rate. Another factor that would influence me going to the Royal Berks on another occasion is that the multi storey car park is not just capacious but within 50 yards of the A&E reception. Oh, sorry, reception were also part of this very impressive well oiled team.
Thank you from father and son.
