"Unhappy about care received at new Walk-in-Center"

About: Crawley Hospital

Waited over 6 hrs to be seen.

It was a bank holiday weekend when everybody is in town and it was inevitable that the walk-in-centre would be quite busy and yet there was no pre-planning regarding increase in staffing requirement.

Only one doctor in the whole Unit was present. One of the hottest days and no air-conditioning in the waiting rooms.

Patients with foot injuries (of which I was one and very triaged as last ones to be seen) could not even go outside to get relief from the stifling atmosphere due to their injuries had to sit in boiling waiting rooms for over 9hrs.

Absolutely shocking!
