"All team members amazing with us"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

At the beginning of last week, I slid down the stairs while holding my son. After awful panic I headed to A&E at the Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy where they found a small fracture on his tibia and he was put into plaster cast. I'd like to thank all the staff but especially staff nurse Heather. She was amazing with me and my son and calmed me down and reassured me he was fine. I was so distraught and her kind and calming manner was appreciated.

All members of the team who looked after us were amazing and I'm so thankful.

Dear Drewsmum

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience of A/E at Victoria Hospital. You must have got an awful fright and I know (from being a mum myself who slid down stairs holding my child) the terrible feeling when you feel responsible for what has happened. In a situation like that you definitely need a "Heather" and I am glad she was there for you and able to re assure and support you at that time, along with the other members of the team. I will gladly share your feedback with the staff who will very much appreciate it, I am sure.

I hope your child is recovering well.

Regards

Louise Ewing
