"Multiple dislocations."

About: James Paget University Hospital / Accident and emergency

As a 21 year old female with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I've spent a lot of time in this hospital, specifically the A&E department. My joints are incredibly unstable and I can dislocate up to 20 times daily. The doctors, and all medical staff are extremely polite, listen to what I have to say and are able to reduce my joints 80% of the time without going to theatre. Sometimes I can be there multiple times in the month with my shoulders especially. Ill never be able to thank everyone enough. However, I just wish they could have better orthopaedic surgeons, one that is extremely familiar with the hypermobility person, instead of having to travel to London for treatment on my shoulders. Again, a huge thanks to the A&E department specifically.

Dear Tammy

Apologies for my delayed response to your feedback.

We have been experiencing some technical issues with the site.

I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to feedback on the care you received following your visit in August and have shared this with the teams involved.

Kind Regards

Amanda Hood
