(as the patient),

On holiday from Norfolk in Portknockie I slipped in a pothole and sustained an avulsion fracture to my 5th metatarsal. I came to Dr Grays where I was treated with kindness in a department that was incredibly busy. Most people introduced themselves although the radiographer was rather severe (have no idea what their name was at all) - my only suggestion is to get the #hellomynameis campaign well and truly embedded. As a healthcare professional myself, watching Kate Grainger speak about her own experiences was a game changer for me. However - you are a fantastic hospital with much to be proud of and I would have no hesitation in recommending you highly to friends and family. Thanks for all you do - you are all superstars!

Many thanks for taking time out to post your feedback on Patient Opinion. The ED at Dr Gray’s is indeed very busy but our “kind superstars” will no doubt be bolstered by you lovely words.

I am very much in agreement with you about the #hellomynameis campaign. I use it myself on my email signature. I will speak with the head of our Radiology Department and try to get some publicity materials for them.

Many thanks for your helpful suggestion – it will support my argument for always saying hello and stating your name.

I hope your foot is getting better and that you still enjoyed your holiday and that someone has filled in that pothole!!!

Thanks Linda I really appreciate this. Again thanks to all - recovering slowly but made the journey home with no more mishaps!
