"Unsure of the service the walk in centre provides"

A family member has just come back from the walk in centre. He went as we can't see a GP on the weekend and is suffering with a severe post nasal drip but the receptionist turned him away? I'm confused as to the service the community hospital is supposed to provide as I thought you could visit it if your GP was unavailable. Having young children this makes me worried as to who to turn to for medical help on the weekend.
