I arrived at 07.30am for surgery to remove a bladder tumour and I certainly wasn't alone! However just after 09.00am I was on the way to theatre and by 10.30am I was awake in the recovery room. The consultant who treated me had an excellent manner and by the time I was back in the room I waited in it looked like the surgeons had been having a very busy morning. As expected I felt a bit light headed as a result of the anaesthetic but the staff kept a close watch on me. They ensured I drank plenty of fluid and that someone was coming to pick me up before I was discharged. They even arranged a sick note for me and I'm now at home making a recovery. I am due for a check up in 3 months and now I've been through this experience it holds no fears at all. All in all a very efficient and professional job well done even if it did look like utter chaos beforehand. No problems at all.
"Urology. Very efficient considering how busy it..."
