my 8 yr old son had a fall at butlins minehead , he had a full thickness laceration to his face and was very very frightend , i was far away from home alone with my son , i didnt have anything with me and had to stay in overnight on oak ward , the nurses were amazing they found me a charger for my phone so i could keep in touch with my husband , and aslo gave me personal items for me to use , my son was seen very quicky in a&e and the maxillo facial team called to see him , they looked after me and my son , and took care of everything we needed , they were friendly and efficient and a credit to the nhs , they sutured my sons head and i will always be grateful to the staff and surgeons for being so understanding at a very difficult time for me and my son
