My mum was admitted to the G8 stroke ward having been taken to West Suffolk Hospital's A&E department, having had a suspected TIA/Stroke. From the moment she was booked in at A&E and her symptoms were reported, she was immediately taken into an assessment area where she saw a doctor from the stroke team who began organising blood tests, scans, ECG assessments and within 30 minutes the top Consultant also saw my mum and she was quickly moved to the stroke unit. All the staff, including all the nursing staff on the ward were excellent and I can not thank everybody who was involved in my mum's care and diagnosis enough for their quick action, thorough assessment and dedicated care. It is clear to see why this unit is rated as one of the best in the UK.
"Fantastic Service"
