"I am coming into the 25th year of being disabled."

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Wrexham Maelor Hospital / General Surgery Wrexham Maelor Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have been disabled since I was 21 years old. I have a daughter who was only 2 when I had a nasty accident This has affected her more in recent years, as I have found it increasingly difficult to get about and the pain I am in while trying to get about. Initially I had emergency treatment carried out at an Hospital in Derbyshire I thank this Hospital for helping me to walk again.

My thanks go out to Dr Syed and the whole team involved in my most recent admission to the Hospital. I have been attending for over three years now but I am happy with all the care that has been given, the treatment is working well. I am so happy that you have been able to support me. This help has made me gain confidence and give me vitality. I have also managed to lose weight which has reduced the weight bearing on my left foot. For me my story was a horror story after my accident in which I nearly lost the whole of my left foot. I have a lot to thank the Doctors at all the Hospitals that I have attended but especially the Wrexham maelor Hospital. Thank you.
