After having an operation I needed more supplies for a weeping and bleeding wound, so I called the number on website for wigan hospital which is the number for 3 hospitals in the area. 21 minutes, 12 minutes, 17 minutes long were the three attempts to speak to someone on the 01942 244000 number. then had to catch a taxi to tesco and and a kind customer service assistant went and got what I needed as my operation was in my groin at a cost of £20. Shows the difference. NHS INDIFFERENCE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE and private sector willingness to be availalbe and help nothing to much bother..
