"Care of my daughter in the Adolescent Ward"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

We were admitted through Prmary Care on Friday night and were seen by a lovely paediatrician and nurse who have my daughter gentle care immediately. We then were placed in a beautiful room with an additional bed for a parent and en suite. The care my daughter received was wonderful with very attentive, polite and efficient medical staff. The consultants were respectful and thoroughly kept us informed. I never wish to have to be in hospital again but cannot fault the care and treatment we have received for the past four days. A huge thank you to all.

Thank you for your wonderful comments about the treatment your daughter received in our adolescent unit recently. We always endeavour to accommodate parents in the unit so they can support their children in their recovery, at what is understandably a frightening and worrying time for both them and you.

I'm so pleased the staff made you both feel reassured and well looked after. I will personally ensure that your kind feedback is passed onto them, and I’m sure they will be delighted to hear that your daughter had a positive experience overall. We really appreciate you getting in touch and hope that your daughter is making a good recovery now.
