"Infertility patient - need separate waiting space"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

I have had to sit in the general gynae waiting room on 3 different occasions whilst undergoing infertility investigations. It is exceptionally hard to sit amongst expectant parents who have just got their scan pictures and who have obvious baby bumps. The walls are plastered with advice for new or expectant mums and a tv shows 'tips for your newborn'. There are no posters about infertility making you feel out of place and like you are the only one going through these feelings. Please provide a small quiet space for those undergoing infertility investigations even if it has to be a screened off corner of the main waiting area with some relevant literature that would be better.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am sorry that the waiting area has caused you distress.

Based on feedback previously received we are in the process of making the waiting area into two sections to tackle exactly the issues you have raised.

The screens have been ordered and hopefully these will be in place soon.

Kind regards

Claire Marshall
