"Everything went well until I was transferred"

About: Adult mental health / Inpatient services (Acute and Intensive Care Unit)

(as the patient),

I went in hospital out of area as my local psychiatric ward was full. This went very well until I was transferred to my local hospital. No one greeted me and I was left standing in the corridor for 1 ½ hours.

Your concerns have since been forwarded to the Adult Mental Health Directorate for this Trust who have provided the following response:

We are very sorry to hear that your experience when you transferred was unsatisfactory, and that this followed an otherwise positive experience of our services. As stated in the initial acknowledgement, if you would like to share further details to allow this to be fully investigated, please do so by contacting the PALS and Complaints Team.
