"neurology appointment due to siezures"

I went to see the neurology department due to having my first siezure at the age of 26, it was only due to my mum complaining to PALS that I was offered this appointment in the first place, when I arrived the doctor I saw was considerably ignorant as I was asked to make a diary of the siezures I have been having since my first one and the feelings in General health wise before and after the siezure occurs. In my appointment the doctor did reflexes never took into account the diary or bothering to read through it or even asking me about the siezures or the feelings I was having, I found the appointment to be a complete waste of time as I left more confused and with no answers to why I was having the siezures. The doctor said it's not epilepsy but didn't assure me as to what it was could be how to manage or anything to suggest how I deal with it.
