I previously wrote about my experience on the high dependency unit at Forth Valley Royal, after my breast cancer diagnosis in February of this year. I have now progressed through the next stage of my treatment - 6 sessions of chemotherapy - and wish to pay tribute to the wonderful nurses who looked after me for that stage of my ongoing treatment and recovery. The Breast Care nurses are a real credit to their profession - they could not have been more caring, compassionate or supportive. I always felt like they had time for me and treated me like an individual. The chemotherapy nursing team are fantastic - despite what can be a potentially depressing and stressful experience, they are always upbeat and smiling and do their level best to reassure and comfort during the difficult times. Special mention to Laura, Susan, Julie and Jill who looked after me so well - thank you so much.
