So i went up to the minor injuries unit after being sent by my GP surgery; i have a lump on the top of my wrist which causesit to be painful for me to move. I was greeted by a very grumpy 'doctor' who didnt even have the courtesy to mumble a 'hello'. The Dr asked me what they could do and i explained my situation- the conversation continued with them being grumpy and frankly quite rude. The dr then said 'think it might be a ganglion' and then googled my symptons!! I told the doctor that I was not impressed they googled it which they became even more rude! The dr told me that you dont see many ganglions, so i asked if they were common and they said yes?! Their advice was to rest it but then i explained that i work in a childrens nursery so resting it is next to impossible- their reply was "well thats you decision mate." At that point i left. I do not expect a doctor to google it!! Perhaps ask someone else to look at it if you really are unsure? Could it be becaue i arrived close to closing hours and they just wanted to go home? I dont know.
"The doctor googled it!!"
