A couple of years ago - after a routine blood test, I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes - and as a result of that, was referred to DESMOND for a 1 day information, question & answer day about diabetes and how to manage it.
Thankfully at present the condition is diet controlled. I was also referred to the Podiatry service - and currently attend Dewsbury Health Centre about every 3 months, for routine treatment and to make sure that all is ok.
I have been amazed and pleased at the help, encouragement and efficiency of all concerned with my contion. So a big THANK YOU to all concerned - and I would have NO hesitation in recommending the service to anyone.
