"Some of the nurses were very kind ..."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Some of the nurses were very kind and attentive

What could be improved

1. Had 2 wait (mostly nil by mouth) for 2 days to have an emergency appendecomy

2. There was a lack of communication between the staff regarding when I was going to theatre

3. My drain was left in too long and had to be ripped from my abdomen despite having adhensions growing round it

4. I as not given any information about post operative symptoms - this caused me some anxiety when I was still in pain 3 weeks later

Anything else?

The nurses and support staff were very busy and worked extremely hard
