"Excellent care means I will not be scared to return to Barnsley"

I went to Barnsley District General for the removal of a tumour from my neck, I was on ward 31. I thought everything about my care, from the catering to the surgeon, was very good. Nothing at all could have been better, I feel the best treatment was given.

When I first went into hospital with the tumour I was very worried. But the staff reassured me and made me feel at ease. The surgeon explained everything he had done to my face and not speaking over my head, as if I was not present. Because of my experience with BDGH, I will not be anywhere as scared when I return in September for my hernia operation.
