"Problem subsequent to minor operation 5 month ago"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

i had a 'T Tube ' fitted to my left ear 5 months ago that proved to be an excellent result as I could hear clearly in that ear for the first time after many months of it being deaf..... I found this morning that there was fair bit of blood on my pillow that had come from the treated ear..

I went to the ENT department rather than A&E. The response was excellent from reception who contacted the sister who organised the whole thing right up to me seeing a doctor in the SAU department. The whole thing only took a couple of hours with the end result being that my inner ear had been scratched bu the 'T Tube' causing the bleeding, apparently not uncommon in this type of implant. I can only say a fantastic coming together of staff. and a big thanks to all involved. Reception, doctor, staff nurse and others.

I am very pleased to hear about your positive experience following your visit to our ENT Department at Queen’s Hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your comments.

. This is the level of service I expect from all of our staff and I hope it continues in the future. I will pass your comments on to the Divisional nurse for this area so that she can share this with her staff.

Yours Sincerely

Nadeem Moghal

Medical Director
