"Experience of taking a friend to this hospital"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I took a friend via an ambulance to A&E. He had fallen (but softly), was very confused and suffers from Parkinson's. The ambulance crew were first rate and treated him with good care and humour. On arrival we were immediately taken to a cubicle in A&E and several nurses made inquires and tests. As a result of these a doctor made further decisions and made other tests. These nurses including a trainee were magnificent....professional, caring and with a with a sense of humour. My friend was then transferred to the acute medical decisions unit were it has been possible for me to speak with both Drs and Consultants freely and easily as well as, of course, the nursing staff. The whole process, which has gone on now for several days because he has transferred to a general ward,, is most creditworthy and deserves lots of thanks and praise
