"I felt really looked after and not just another patient"

About: Heartlands Hospital West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I was admitted with acute back pain. From the ambulance technicians who brought me in, to discharge from cdu, the team were so lovely. I was at a work meeting in Birmingham, far from home and the staff were so nice from the lovely tea lady to the porter and dr and staff and student nurse. I was feeling panicky at being far from home but from the minute I got to ae I felt really looked after and not just another patient. I would really like to acknowledge these lovely staff members. Great staff...The Trust should be proud x

Dear LD47

thank you for your kind comments about the care you received in our Emergency Department and CDU at Heartlands Hospital when you were taken ill at a work meeting recently.

I am so pleased that you felt well cared for, and was given so much support and reassurance.

I will ensure that your feedback is highlighted to our Emergency Department Management Team who will communicate your post to all of the Emergency Department Staff who work very hard to provide a positive patient experience often in difficult circumstances. I hope this is acceptable.

My best wishes for your continued recovery.

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
