"Confused and mixed feelings"

About: Hillingdon Hospital

I am now pregnant with my second baby and contemplating whether I should have my second here. When I walked in to the hospital I was 6cm dilated and in a lot of pain. I was partially ignored by the receptionist and told to wait! I was in tears! I felt really alone and confused as to what was going on. I was left in a waiting room alone until I was seen by a doctor. After that, I asked to use the birthing pool- but it wasn't working! These are my main concerns of coming back as This really affected my state of mind. However on the positive side - the midwife was so lovely! And helped me through a lot of the pain. Once they left I felt lost, and everything went downhill. I ended up having an episiotomy and the doctors were amazing. The aftercare and experience with breastfeeding was even better! I am concerned with a few of my first issues, if these are addressed I wouldn't hesitate in coming back!

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the website.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope that I can reassure you there have been many changes within the maternity services since you gave birth to your last baby.

I am sure you would find your whole experience improved, but should you wish to discuss this further then kindly contact me.

Kind regards
